Issue: On certain cars, there is a problem with the airbag control unit.

As a result, the side curtain airbags will not work as designed in a rollover crash.

Safety Risk: In a rollover crash, the side curtain airbags would not work.

This could increase the risk of injury and ejection from the vehicle.

Corrective Actions: The company will mail a letter to owners to let you know about this problem.

The parts to fix this problem are not available right now.

When the parts are available, you will be sent a second letter instructing you to take your car to the company’s authorized service provider to replace the airbag control unit.

In addition, the owner's manual will be updated to provide you with information about how the how the airbag warning light and side curtain airbag system work.
