On certain vehicles equipped with a 2.0 L engine, the catalytic converter could overheat due to engine misfires. The high temperatures generated could damage the surrounding wiring or components, which could result in a loss of motive power and/or increase the risk of a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will update the engine control module software to prevent the catalytic converter from overheating. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
