Watch: Land Rover Defender Airs it Out in Upcoming James Bond Movie

The next James Bond movie, No Time to Die, is due in theatres April 10. While the official trailer has no shortage of action, a new commercial starring the Land Rover Defender is going to blow your mind just the same.

The manufacturer couldn’t possibly find a better way to showcase the spectacular capabilities of its brand new SUV than to piece together bits of footage including all sorts of wild stunts, such as 30-metre-long jumps.

The Defender can also be seen barrelling down bumpy slopes, crossing a river and plowing through muddy trails. The video ends with a full flip, after which the vehicle gets back on its feet and blazes a new path like nothing happened.

By the way, no modifications to the body structure were made except the installation of a roll cage. You should also know that the Defender is the only Land Rover model to do a bridge jump as part of its extensive testing program to measure the strength and durability of the chassis and suspension.

Other vehicles featured in No Time to Die include a Range Rover Sport SVR as well as an Aston Martin DB5, DBS Superleggera and Valhalla supercar, among others.

In case you forgot, the Land Rover Defender made its grand return last September. It has an aluminum D7x platform designed to tackle the most extreme terrains and conditions, exceptional approach and departure angles, an impressive wading depth of up to 35.4 inches (900 mm), plus a pair of four- and six-cylinder engines delivering 296 and 395 horsepower, respectively.

Built in Slovakia, the long-wheelbase, seven-passenger Defender 110 will go on sale this spring, while the standard, five-passenger Defender 90 will be available later in 2020. Canadian pricing ranges from $65,300-$93,600.
