The New 2020 Kia Telluride Looks Ready for Battle

Seeing the strong demand for bigger SUVs, Kia saw the Detroit Auto Show is a good occasion to present its new Telluride.

Designed and assembled in the United States, the Telluride is the biggest Kia ever built, end of discussion. Capable of seating up to eight occupants, it boasts a robust appearance and easily stands itself apart from the competition.

Speaking of which, the new Telluride will rival models such as the Honda Pilot, the Ford Explorer and the new Hyundai Palisade, to name a few.

Under the hood, Kia relies on a 3.8-litre V6 that develops 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. That’s enough to give the Telluride a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds (2,268 kg).

In addition, the 2020 Telluride promises a high level of comfort thanks to its four-wheel independent suspension, which includes automatic load-levelling at the rear.

The SUVs’ upscale cockpit is trimmed with Nappa leather as well as simulated brushed metal and matte-finish wood accenting. There’s plenty of technology to entertain occupants, which notably includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless phone charging and a total of six USB ports. The Kia Telluride also features a bunch of advanced safety devices such as blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist and forward collision warning with autonomous emergency braking.
