2018 Ram Harvest Edition: One for the Farmers

We might be repeating ourselves, but Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is a master at recycling. Their products are aging, but the company keeps consumer interest afloat by conjuring up special-edition variants that are all very distinct.

We already have the Ram Outdoorsman for hunting and fishing amateurs, the Ram Sport for performance fans, the Ram Laramie Longhorn for cowboys, among others. Add the Ram Harvest Edition, created to be the farmer’s dream truck.

Available on the Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500, the Harvest Edition package can be ordered with black or white paint, but also offers two exclusive colours that are usually seen around the farm and in the fields: Case IH red and New Holland blue. Yes, we can now colour-match our Ram pickup with our tractor!

“Farmers have been asking for these colours, and Ram is proud to be the first in the industry to offer them,” stated Mike Manley, Head of Jeep & Ram Brands – FCA Global. “The Ram Harvest Edition truck will allow farm families to get their work done while proudly showing their agricultural brand loyalty.”

We’ll be able to order the 2018 Ram Harvest Edition with a four-door cab (Quad Cab, Crew Cab, Mega Cab) as well as with any box length and powertrain. Amongst them is the 5.7-litre HEMI V8, the 6.4-litre HEMI V8 and the Cummins turbo-diesel 6.7-litre six-cylinder engine.

The truck will also receive black tubular side steps, a spray-on bedliner, mud guards, floor mats, underbody skid plates, tow hooks (on 4x4 versions), on/off-road tires, a Uconnect infotainment system with 8.4-inch touchscreen as well as heated front seats. The 1500 trucks will get a one-inch suspension rise and chromed 17-inch alloy wheels, while the 2500 and 3500 series will get a cargo-view camera and 18-inch polished alloy wheels.

In Canada, the 2018 Ram 1500 Harvest Edition will retail from $46,490 before freight and delivery charges of $1,795. The 2018 Ram HD Harvest Edition will be available from $54,690. These trucks will arrive in dealerships within the next month.
