2017 Shelby GT350 Mustang features standard Track Package

Good news for all you Shelby GT350 Mustang fans: The 2017 version will see the Track Package fitted as standard equipment.

That means oil, transmission and differential coolers, magnetorheological dampers, an aluminum strut tower brace and "high downforce" spoiler will come on every GT350.

"Ford Performance is always listening to customer feedback," Dave Pericak, global director of Ford Performance, said in a statement.

"At the end of last year we started offering a back seat option for (the) Shelby GT350R due to customer demand. Now, we have adjusted the packages available to continue to provide more of what customers want on the Shelby GT350 Mustang."

Ford said two new packages will be available on the car for 2017, including the Electronics Package and the Convenience Package.

The former includes Ford's SYNC 3 infotainment interaface, voice-activated navigation and a nine-speaker audio system, while the latter includes all those features and replaces the manually-adjustable Recaro seats with leather-trimmed power seats.

Also new for 2017 are colour choices, with Deep Impact Blue and Competition Orange out, and Ruby Red Metallic, Lightning Blue and Grabber Blue in.

Pricing wasn't announced by the automaker.
