Kia Optima Sportswagon unveiled at Geneva motor show

Here at Motoring TV, we generally reserve our wagon envy for rides like the Audi RS 6 and the new S4—high-horsepower sleds that, sadly, will never make it to this side of the Atlantic.

Occasionally, though, our feelings of resentment toward what's available in Europe extend to wagons that may not be performance machines, but more than make up for it in the looks department.

Case in point: The all-new Kia Optima Sportswagon.

Based on the Sportspace Concept that Kia unveiled at last year's Geneva auto show, the Optima Sportswagon carries over the good looks of the 2016 Optima sedan with the added bonus of the slicked-back profile of a wagon.

Sadly, Kia has made it clear that this Optima wagon won't be sold outside of Europe, but there's always hope that it might one day make its way to North America.
