The first Rolls-Royce Phantom was created in 1925. As an icon to the world's richest, this limousine offered unparalleled luxury and performance. Each subsequent version of the Phantom expanded upon this base, slowly becoming Rolls-Royce's most recognizable model.

The seventh generation was launched in 2003 and heavily modernized in 2012. This generation of the large sedan was instrumental in helping Rolls-Royce sell more car than ever; last year, 4000 units rolled out of the manufacturer's factory.

Seems like it's finally time to say goodbye to the seventh gen; 2016 will be the last year for this iteration.

As a goodbye present, the brand will sell the Zenith edition, which will be the ultimate Phantom.

Only 50 units of the Phantom Zenith will be built; they will feature a centre armrest with laser-etched maps of the original launch's location—Geneva and Villa d'Este—special dials as well as a unique Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament.
