Countdown to the Bugatti Chiron

When the Bugatti Veyron was launched, it set a new standard for the automotive performance world: nothing was faster, more powerful or pricier. The Veyron stood alone at the top of the food chain.

Nowadays though, this segment has gotten more and more crowded: aside from the big players like Ferrari, Porsche and McLaren, a lot of smaller manufacturers are offering supercars with similar performance, like Pagani, Koenigsegg and Hennessey. It is now time for Bugatti to turn the page and launch the next generation of world-dominating cars.

This is where the Chiron comes in; we don't know the car's exact specs yet, but we do know it will be launched at the Geneva Auto Show. To tease us, the French automaker put up a countdown on its Website; as soon as it hits zero, we will see the Chiron in the flesh.

Rumours are talking about more than 1,500 horsepower, an 8.0-litre W16 engine, a 2.2-second 0-100 km/h run and a top speed of 467 km/h. We can't tell if any of this is true, but we are eagerly awaiting the reveal on March 1st.
