BFGoodrich Recalls 6,400 Light Truck Tires in Canada

Tire manufacturer BFGoodrich realized that under severe usage the sidewall of some of its tires have ruptured and experienced a sudden loss of pressure. Obviously, this results in a potential loss of control or vehicle crash. About 129,000 tires have been recalled in North America, and about 6,400 of those were sold in Canada.

Tire models include the BFGoodrich Commercial T/A All-Season, the BFGoodrich Commercial T/A All-Season 2 and the BFGoodrich Rugged Terrain T/A, most of which were installed on commercial light trucks, full-size vans, small RVs as well as ¾-ton and one-ton pickup trucks (please see this article's image gallery for a model and size chart of the affected tires). No injuries related to these defective tires have been reported so far.

The company recommends that customers remove these tires as soon as possible and have them replaced with a similar product (at no cost). A BFGoodrich dealer can be found on the company's website at www.bfgoodrichtires.ca, and the BFGoodrich Consumer Care department can be reached at 1-866-424-2638.
