Top Gear Chooses the Ford Fiesta ST

Deemed to be unconditional testers of hyper sports cars, British magazine Top Gear has chosen the Ford Fiesta ST as their 2013 Car of the Year.
This contrasts a little bit with the reputation of the magazine which is to evaluate the sports cars of all types and often including the most powerful cars in the world.

A little bomb

The Ford Fiesta ST is sold on the European market as a hatchback in three and five-door configurations.

The Fiesta ST is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that delivers 80 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. Only a six-speed manual transmission is offered.

The car goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds while its top speed is 219 km/h. Its combined fuel consumption is 5.9 L/100 km.
